PLAYER PLOTS & MOD PERMISSION

PLAYER PLOTS & MOD PERMISSION
MOD PERMISSION REQUESTS
Actions that will significantly affect or impact the game must be run by the mod team before being introduced into play. These would be things that alter the shared environment of the game in a way that cannot be easily ignored. This is to ensure that they do not disrupt other people's plots, plans, or experiences and that any pages are updated accordingly. These events may not trigger a player plot - as in, something that requires a log and mass participation - but would instead impact the game and setting in a major way.
Below is an example of actions that go beyond the scope of the Setting Engagement page. You can use that page build towards these events, but the event cannot occur until Mod Permission is given.
Some of above examples may trigger mod run mini-events, some personal to the players and others game wide, and others could alter the game landscape for everyone. Please note that this isn't an exhaustive list, it's just to give you an idea of the scale some of these plots can take. Players will be told the full consequences of any potential action before they have to commit to them. Our goal is to make sure that the consequences are fun for you and give you something unique to play with.
Our goal is also to ensure that there is breathing room between heavy events.
If your character is returning to their world please fill this out for our records.
Name(s) of Character(s) Involved: Please provide names of any player characters, or NPCS created for this plot.
Guild Affiliations: The guild affiliations of any player characters or NPCs created for this plot.
Is this a return home plot? Yes/No. If so, how is the character returning? Are they travelling using guild sanctioned methods, or are they using a player character's abilities?
Summary: What did your character do / what will they be doing? How do you intend to have them carry this out? Please provide as much detail as possible.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: This section and the ones that follow it are the most important ones to consider. What is your goal with this? If you don't have one, then please list anything that you would not want to have happen.
OOC Goals: If different than above.
Intended IC Date: What date should this occur on?
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: How will this affect the game? Will there be casualties, destruction, etc? How do you see people — including mod-run NPCs — reacting in the aftermath?

A character is killed and not revived two hours after their death. Characters will still revive after this happens. However, this must be brought to the mod team.
Your character installs surveillance equipment around town that would allow them to spy on NPCs or player characters. This would require a permissions post and a post on the OOC comm to notify players that it has occurred.
Your character destroys established areas of the setting. Guild HQs, established landmarks, or large parts of the cities.
Your character causes mass casualties.
Your character enters an agreement with a God / Demon for power (outside of an event).
Your character kills an Mod Created NPC.
Your character kills and becomes a God.
Your character steals from the guilds.
Your character attempts to destabilize the guilds or government.

PLAYER PLOT SUBMISSION
Player Plots are mini-events or arcs run by players within the game. The sky is the limit when it comes to these plots. See Balthier's Fear Event, Stephen Strange's Haunted Mansion for inspiration. When submitting these events please consider how they will impact the setting including the total scope, damage, and casualties it may cause. In terms of mechanics, please consider what players will be doing within this plot, and any potential aftermath they will be experiencing.
Anything that would cause significant death, environmental destruction, or would otherwise interrupt daily life within the cities in a way that cannot be easily ignored would constitute as a player plot. Plots that affect more than five characters should also be considered a player plot.
Some examples would be:
You don't need to have all the information at this stage, we're happy to help expand your ideas out. But please give us an idea of what you're looking for when you present this to us. At minimum, OOC Goals and Impact of the Setting and Mod NPCS should be filled out. Our goal is to "yes, and" or "no, but maybe instead" your ideas and we can't do that without knowing what you're aiming for.
Name(s) of Character(s) Involved: Please provide names of any player characters, or NPCS created for this plot.
Guild Affiliations: The guild affiliations of any player characters or NPCs created for this plot.
Summary of Plot: Please provide as much detail as possible. This is where you'll want to put in your narrative explanation for how this occurs. What is the catalyst for all of this? If you're posting a log, what prompts are you thinking of including?
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: This section and the ones that follow it are the most important ones to consider. How do you want this to affect participating characters? We ask that you please put thought into what would be engaging for others to play with and shy away from any events that are just pure reaction and destruction.
Date and Duration: When will this take place, and how long will it be in effect?
OOC Goals: If different than above.

High-profile court case
I've got a small seed of an idea: Dylan defends himself from a non-powered attacker with a gun, using his own powers... attacker turns around and sues Dylan for injuries. (This premise feels weak, but it's a springboard for other ideas, if nothing else.)
Long story short it spirals into a high-profile court case that may set a precedent: Do metas have the right to use their own powers for self-defense or should they stand by and share the same risk as any non-powered civilian?
I'll probably workshop this on plurk, too, and come back to fill out the form once I have a more solid idea of the details.

Is this a return home plot? Yes. They are traveling back home using Guild-sanctioned methods.
Summary: Hibiki will be going home with Maria, albeit a little earlier than others, possibly thanks to her position in the Alliance.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: They'll spend time back home and let their friends know about what happened, though when they eventually end up being pulled back, they'll find that the energies of the confluence binding them here have started holding them tighter, so they won't be able to go home again anytime soon.
OOC Goals: I... thought that characters were able to go home starting September. Oops. Hopefully this will make up for any threads where I've played Hibiki as having already gone home for a bit.
Intended IC Date: Around September.
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: Just a two-week hiatus from her idol work before her eventual return.

Is this a return home plot? Yes - returning home using the standard guild-provided method
Summary: Otto is going to return home! His plan is to shut down the reactor, because he's worried that Peter will get himself killed trying to do it on his own, and then return to this dimension. However, the safety equipment he's bringing with him will be inadvertently lost during the transfer, forcing him to shut down the reactor in similar conditions to...well, Spider-Man 2. Between the extra time he's has to plan out exactly what to do, the fact that he'll be acting earlier and faster than in the original timeline, and the fact that he now has a portal device on hand, he'll survive the incident, but he'll still return injured and require medical treatment.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: This is a conscious effort on Otto's part to achieve closure with his original universe. Seeing as there's really nothing left for him there, he's already planning on staying here to continue the new life he's built; fixing the mess he caused back home is his last bit of unfinished business. Of course his guilt won't entirely leave him, but at least he'll be able to feel like he actually set some of it right - like he didn't entirely leave that world as a monster. That'll make it easier for him to move forward.
While getting hurt was not part of his plan, it leaves the door open for him to fake his own death entirely and simply never return, leaving his timeline unchanged in spite of everything...but is that the right thing to do? Having seen what it's like to have more than one superhero around, he'll start to struggle with whether or not he should go back on occasion to help out Raimi-verse Peter - but hey, at least that's focused on the future instead of past guilt.
OOC Goals: Pretty much the same, tbh
Intended IC Date: Early in October
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: No casualties except for Otto himself, but he will be publicly observed at least by some to have returned from his universe badly injured, which on top of everything probably isn't great publicity for the Send These Dudes Home effort.

Summary of Plot: Yo. I was wondering if maybe we could come up with an in world something to reveal why Batman was absent for months as I try to transition back into activity. Whether this is a continuation of the D'Amico stuff or something crazier, I haven't really considered.
Date and Duration: N/A
OOC Goals: Just a way to bring him back in a cool way, rather than saying he was just wandering around for 2 or 3 months.

Alternatively, Bruce may have found himself caught between dimensions. No time at all would have passed for him. He would only remember seeing darkness and stars as far as the eye can see, tumbling back to this realm when a gentle hand grasps his and yanks him down to Earth.

Is this a return home plot? Yes, returning through Guild sanctions.
Summary: Loki will be returning to New Asgard for a while. He wants to see his people once more, see if they're thriving and grown. He'll also be meeting with King Valkyrie to get a lowdown of any events/things he may have missed being dead, so he should have cursory knowledge of the events that took place during Thor: Love and Thunder.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: Loki is mostly going back to find some closure. Beyond second hand accounts, he has no idea what happened to the Asgardians and Thor and he would like to see it for himself. He's hoping that this will help him to let go of the past and the need to return "home" and recognize that there is no more place for him in that universe anymore. This should also help him to commit more to Meta and come to terms with really rebuilding his life instead of constantly being in doubt.

Is this a return home plot? Yes!
Summary: Doreen will be asking the Alliance for a trip home, assuming they'll be happy to have one less Unaligned vigilante running around. She'll be very sheepish about it when she pops back a week later!
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: Doreen has been missing her friends and family like crazy, and always intended to go home as soon as she could. She's been assuming that she basically disappeared for six months, so this visit will let her know that only a few minutes passed back home, nobody thinks she's dead, and she did not miss her midterm exams! (Also, she will realize she's crushing on her roommate Nancy, because if Ryan North can't make it canon then I will!)
OOC Goals: same tbh, but if she could not get arrested for being Unaligned when she pops back up, that would be awesome!
Intended IC Date: Let's say the last week of October?
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: n/a

Balther - Home
Guild Affiliations: Society
Summary of Plot: Go Home
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: Balthier wants to go see that his partner is alive (or not); he goes back to the moment he left and is able to save her; he hangs around until he gets sucked back
Date and Duration: I'd like to back date that he did this in early November
OOC Goals: Increase his guilt about wanting to stay here, give him some new stuff from home to worry about
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: Is it okay if he brings back small stuff he can put in pockets, like spices/tea/jewelry that doesn't do anything magical?
In the future, would it be possible for him to bring back small amounts of sky stone to make something at home hover/fly?

Summary of Plot: Loki has been lonely for a very long time and has acted out in various ways, but has also been sitting an idea since he got here... Age Spell, Age Spell, Age Spell! Except not aging him up like he did with the demon spell, but rather aging everyone else down so they'll stop being boring and annoying. A classic comic book "superheroes are kids/teens now" event ala DC's Sins of Youth.
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: Loki's main goal is for adult characters to be deaged, the target age Loki would be aiming for is around 10-14. That said, everyone is free to choose if they'd rather age their characters younger or even older. Similarly, players are welcome to choose whether characters' memories or powers are affected by the spell. Loki's still not super used to magic, so there's a lot of wiggle room that can be explained with "idk it's magic". Loki himself will not be affected by spell, but will need to be convinced to help in reversing it.
Date and Duration: Whenever works best for you to slot me into! Could make sense for December with a holiday-themed slant or New Years New Beginnings
OOC Goals: I REALLY JUST WANT TO RUN THE MOST BASIC OF AGESWAP EVENT that people have full ability to customize or opt in/out of. I don't have too many ideas outside of that which has kept me from submitting this plot, so help would be appreciated! We could add in some magic artifact or lore or I don't know! Literally my thoughts end at "this event would be fun" and "Loki would totally cast a spell to do this"
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: There'll be general chaos, but I'm not aiming for any deaths/destruction. It should be fun mischief that's more annoying to the Mod NPCs than anything full on EVIL SUPER VILLAIN PLOT. That said, still totally up for him getting in trouble/metahumans generally looking worse/setting impacts of that degree.

You are free to run this plot at any point during what remains of December! You are also good to run this in January if you would prefer to have more time to plot and work out the details. The mod team is happy to move the intended event back to allow for some good old fashioned chaos!

Guild Affiliations: Seph is Unaligned, his buddies are Alliance.
Is this a return home plot? Yes, through guild methods (grudgingly).
Summary: Sephiroth intends to return to his home Planet, specifically the Shinra building, to carry out a mission with two objectives:
1. Obtain confidential files on himself (essentially Jenova Project data, of the up-to-date variety that doesn't mistakenly call her an Ancient). He expects David's technopathy and Loki's illusions to be useful for bypassing security measures.
2. Kill Hojo. Probably by stabbing. Physically this is easy, but it's emotionally complicated hence the need for moral support.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: While Sephiroth is by now fully aware that he isn't human and was most likely genetically engineered, he's been struggling to come to terms with it without a complete understanding of what he actually is. Learning the truth about Jenova is going to put him through a rough time emotionally, but his time in RP has better prepared him and he has people he can lean on for support. He also won't be dealing with Jenova herself, which helps.
If possible, he'd like to bring back the physical data so he can peruse it at his leisure. He might also grab a few books and materia orbs out of his office while he's there. The materia will be useless, but he's curious. Let me know if items can't be brought back!
OOC Goals: Finally, he will be able to tell people he's an alien.
Intended IC Date: One day sometime in the latter half of December probably. I'm flexible.
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: He might lash out some on the level of minor property damage, but there shouldn't be any major impact to the Meta setting. Obviously he'll cause major changes in his world just by no longer being in it.

Summary of Plot: Ripley is taking Eddie back to his home world. They're going to keep a low profile. Ripley is going to contact his boss and hope he still has a job?? But also not stress out if he doesn't have one. He's going to show Eddie around his world, see how heroes in his world are used in propaganda and capitalistic ventures. He's also going to check on all his cats.
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: Ripley is going to slowly be more grounded and confident, finally having someone he can trust and rely on. He'll also be branching out with his powers and pushing his limits a bit more once he comes back from this trip, finally having something he wants to protect. Also he and Eddie will be closer as Ripley will be letting him in more.
Date and Duration: Last two weeks of November
OOC Goals: Same as above!
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: N/A!

finally submits this
Guild Affiliations: she's unaligned which is probably for the best at this point
Is this a return home plot? it is not.
Summary: A couple of things, which are tied to Things Silco Enjoyed while he was in Meta (as perceived or observed by Jinx: a memoir). She's going to be targeting several landmarks for wanton destruction, but primarily the Aquarium and the National Museum. Initially she will be committing petty theft for valuable items before slowly initiating the plan she has been brewing for months. Several of the aquatic life (see: most, she's not a monster) will be replaced by robotic and animatronic versions of themselves which she has been building meticulously for months. They will be decorated with bioluminescent graffiti which will become visible as the paint corrodes. The bigger exhibits of the museum will also be replaced, or have new additions attached. They are all explosives, designed to go off at peak times during the day the day after New Years Day.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: She is going to steal a bunch of priceless artefacts and then blow up the museum and aquarium. The ideal outcome is that she ends up in jail, makes life much harder for unaligned folks and, ultimately, should probably go to mandated therapy and if released, probably released into someone's custody for supervision.
OOC Goals: She will not go to therapy on her own so we're making it happen in peak Jinx fashion.
Intended IC Date: 02/01/2023. HOWEVR i am super flexible, any date that would feasibly mean big turnouts at the above locations would be fine (ie valentines)
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: There will be massive casualties and significant if not total destruction of the aquarium and museum. Just absolute carnage. Insane amounts of flooding, fires etc. The actual level is absolutely up to mod discretion though, so v happy to discuss wishes vs realistic expectations.

Is this a return home plot? No
Summary: Nox will be experimenting with some of the more blatantly Dark Side powers to essentially create a new [Sith Sorcery] ability/spell/technique. He'll be working to combine aspects of Death Field, Force Leech/Drain, and Sith Lightning/Force Storm in particular, with elements of less outright dangerous abilities mixed in to make it work (e.g. tunneling through space like he does with the Phantom Stride in order to create a portal for the ability to pass through the air above him and reappear over its target). His goal is to create something with the highest possible chance of harming or outright killing just about any threat by essentially corrupting Sith Lightning even further and using it as a conduit to consume and destroy whatever energy it comes into contact with. Someone's life force, the Force itself, magic energies, etc.
Basically he wants to develop a catch-all kind of spell to just nuke the hell out of any kind of threat that might cross over into this world. Each bolt of Force Lightning would basically drain whatever it comes into contact with in order to to grow that much more powerful, meaning if one hits a magical barrier, it will absorb the magic powering it to destroy the barrier and continue onward. Hitting a living being will see the bolt burn its way into the body and quickly destroy it as the energy drains the life force of the victim.
Since each bolt of Force lightning would operate this way, in theory it means it would pose a severe threat even to traditionally immortal or invulnerable entities, as the lightning would only grow more powerful as it consumes their own power to enhance its own.
Intended Experience or Outcome for Involved Characters: I intend for him to succeed, though the final product is going to be something even he doesn't want to mess with unless he has to. The size of the area affected could potentially have a radius of up to several dozen meters, and the ability will put a tremendous strain on the user, both physically and mentally. As in, he'll get one good use of this ability followed by like a week of recovery kind of strain, and if he's ever forced to use it more than once in rapid succession there's a very high probability of it consuming both his intended target and him, slowly consuming his body and his sanity until he either dies or gets twisted into a wandering Dark Side aberration similar to what happened to Darth Nihilus and has to constantly consume the energy of everything around him due to a pathological and insatiable hunger.
So, ideally, it's something that's only ever going to get used twice: Once at the moment where he finally succeeds in developing it, and again when he uses it on whoever the Battlements of the Shining God are summoning (he suspects the Lady of Endings, but obviously can't know for certain). And presumably on the cultists as well, if they're still in the area. Due to the fact the ability would have the unfortunate combination of being incredibly complex and also possess a virtually nonexistent margin for error, Nox will be highly vulnerable when using it and will require protection from others to avoid being immediately killed in retaliation. Because he's not going to be able to move from wherever he's standing, and he won't be able to take his attention off what he's doing without the risk of a disastrous backlash (either killing him outright, causing the storm to indiscriminately target everything in the vicinity and grow on its own with no one in control of it, or both).
OOC Goals: He's basically trying to create a Force ability / plot device explicitly to deal with extradimensional threats and/or Gods in an attempt to have something to hit them with the moment they cross over and deal as much damage as possible before they have a chance to prepare for it. Especially since he doesn't know just what they'd be vulnerable to, so having an ability that basically drains and destroys anything it touches would be advantageous. Also, like all good plot devices, it's something he's going to subsequently never touch again once its intended target has been dealt with (either due to being hit with the ability or dealt with via any other means).
Intended IC Date: The incremental development and experimentation necessary would have been going on for the past several months, but I don't intend for him to begin seeing any promising results for at least another few weeks. Ultimately, he's only going to complete development shortly before the Lady of Endings appears (or whoever it is he was warned about here, which is also what would have got him started on trying to develop this).
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: One fixed result--as in, one that will happen regardless of whether or not he actually succeeds in his experiments--will be that the woods outside of Sunset Falls will become increasingly corrupted by the Dark Side. He's been conducting these experiments fairly deep into the woods as a precaution for that exact reason, so that the corruption should hopefully be too remote to affect the town directly, but the result will be that the flora and fauna will begin to become twisted and corrupted by the Dark Side.
As an example, any predatory creatures in the affected areas will tend to become larger, stronger, and much more aggressive (including any monsters already existing in said woods), plant life will start to either die off and rot away or become dangerous in its own right (either by becoming carnivorous, extremely toxic, capable of causing insanity if ingested or its spores are inhaled, etc.). For example, maybe strange vines begin to infest the trees and will try to wrap around and kill anything that moves in their vicinity before digesting the remains, etc.
Basically, deep into "crimes against god, nature, and everything" territory. You wouldn't want to go there alone, and you definitely wouldn't want to go there unarmed or unprepared.
On the "if he succeeds" end of things, Nox would essentially be pulling a Vitiate and creating a death zone wherever this ability ends up being used. Any magical energy in the target area will be destroyed and will not recover, while the surrounding energies will be greatly disrupted but not destroyed. What result that might cause is unknown, but I'd imagine it's not too dissimilar to throwing a stick of dynamite into a still lake. Except instead of ripples and waves you'd get magic behaving in wild and unpredictable ways, potentially even to the point that it's a serious danger in the short term, leylines being broken and rerouted, etc.
The area affected will essentially become devoid of all life and a gaping wound in the fabric of the universe as far as any magic or Force users are concerned.
Meaning, at a bare minimum, he's liable to find himself on Silent Mystic / Chaos Gate's shit list for the foreseeable future for fucking around with something he absolutely should never have touched and endangering every living thing in the area. One or both guilds would also likely place him under very, very close surveillance, because I can't imagine the thought of him potentially using this ability on the general public would be seen as anything short of a disaster by either guild.
And as mentioned previously, in the event Nox ends up having to overuse / use this ability for too long, it could also serve as a kicking off point for a potential player plot where he needs to be killed before he kills everyone else, though this is not currently something I'm considering. Since he'd be just as reluctant to ever use this ability again as everyone else would be to see him use it again.

The mod team has been going over your plot; we just want to verify with you before we give a final verdict:
1. Are the changes to the area only when Nox is using the ability, or are they more permanent?
2. Could you elaborate on what "threat" would mean? Is this idea synonymous with what Nox would perceive as a threat, or is there a different moral scale being used?
Thanks for waiting! We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

WOM.bat
Guild Affiliations: Unaligned & TBD.
Summary of Plot: Okay, I’d like Tim, potentially in conjunction with other tech types he knows, to build a protected anon space for those unhappy with the guilds.
The .bat domain extension will only be accessible via an app featuring end-to-end encryption only for jailbroken phones (as it won’t be available through an app store) or via a similarly encrypted lockdown browser via the Apple and Linux analogs. No Windows, unless someone partners with Tim and convinces him they can navigate the virus wasteland.
The domain hosts only one website, WOM.bat, on the deep web (that is, unindexed by search engines) and nearly on the dark web, as it is unarchivable by web archives. It’s a seemingly rudimentary message board that’s borderline text based. The only flashy parts are a damn good search function and the security features.
The message board will use a secure tripcode rather than storing registration info from the users.
The servers will be physically located in a secure location, as yet undetermined. If it’s someplace of Tim’s, he’ll put them outside one of the 4 main locations and try to create multiple fake identities/companies between him and the location.
The servers will be able to be remotely triggered to delete all post content in the event of a comprise or, as a last resort, bricked by an external device capable of delivering a localized EMP.
There’s a number of boards set up for Starfallen, meta, and guild topics.
From the user end, you can type links, but they won’t function as links. Copy paste will not work within the required app, nor will screenshots. All posts will delete permanently after a maximum of 7 days. Some boards will have tighter windows and toplevel posters can set it even tighter if they choose.
Not even images will be directly post-able. Say hello to our old friend ASCII art.
All of this is real world possible, if you consider things like 4chan, Telegram, Netflix, Metal, exam software, offshore servers, PirateBay, etc.
Where we may get into comics territory is that, for anyone other than those possessing superhero/supervillain computer skills, the site and domain are unhackable. Those that have that skill could still try, but Tim’s been through enough hacking plots that they’ll have a fight on their hands.
I don’t think any of this is above Tim’s solo capabilities, but would like to try to recruit others. For one thing, additional funding will increase how much traffic can be supported. More people involved means even better security and more hands in the hardware.
When it was ready, it would be mainly disseminated directly and spread by word of mouth (WOM marketing. Wombat. WOM.bat). The software would very briefly be available on a different secure service, to allow characters who don’t know any of the creators or their friends directly to join in. Tim would post anonymously somewhere using a clean phone saying. “WOMBAT. IYKYK”
ETA: The anon post is the one piece I’m not entirely sold on, because Tim would actually want to make it entirely person to person, but I recognize that there is an OOC need to let all played characters in. If there is a way to do so without ANY public posts, I’d prefer to do so, as the post would not really be IC due to the likelihood that guild and gov’t types could figure it out as well.
It was suggested in response to my initial question on the plot post that I’d have to make an OOC post. Confirming that would not be an issue.
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: They’ll have a safe place to openly engage in anti-guild and anti-government sentiments. It should open up more opportunities for players to discuss and be involved in the meta plot.
I don’t intend for Tim to be caught but recognize that this will put him at a significant risk if he’s ever tied to it.
Date and Duration: Now until when and if someone takes down the server.
OOC Goals: N/A
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: See above, freer communications. No casualties or damage, aside from the interests and reputations of characters like Fantastic. I expect he and the government will be furious.
The Society, IDK. They might be like looooooool.

We're going to approve Tim's new website. We'd like to add a few more things here as well:
An OOC comm post will be necessary explaining how this new website functions, how characters can gain access to it, limitations, and other relevant information that players would need to utilize it. Please make it as simplistic as possible so it's easy to reference!
We also want to let you know that wom.bat will be live through the June/July event, and won't function any longer once we reach August's event. There's a good reason for this OOCly: As a mod team, we plan on making changes to how social media functions in the game, and want to be transparent about where the work that you'll be putting into this will lead! Once we've established a basis for how we'll be going about it, we plan on having Tim be a part of it once August rolls around if you'd be up for it. Given the work he'd put into establishing wom.bat, his assistance may be requested in helping to establish something new.
Thanks for putting this together. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Guild Affiliations: Alliance + Unaligned
Summary of Plot: Loki takes Sephiroth to New Asgard to propose.
Date and Duration: A few days, August 5-7th
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: It shouldn't have any direct impact on the setting, just on their character development as they are moving forward with their lives!

Due to the instability of the world, Loki and Sephiroth will find both the trip there and the return home to be tumultuous. After they enter, the machines will stop working entirely.
Their attempt to re-enter the world will be successful, but it will feel different to say the least. Rather than simply reappearing in the Alliance’s dimensional portal room, they will find themselves standing in the void between worlds. They will feel watched and a great pressure, one that weighs on them physically and physically. The Shining God watches from atop a throne, the only thing in the void, a massive entity consuming all that is around her. She reaches one immense hand towards them, gleeful.
Then vines wrap around their limbs and yank, tossing them back into the world of Metaheroes. They will find that dimensional travel is not possible after that, indestructible vines have grown over the portals.

Guild Affiliations: Most are independant, but animated Jason has Society ties.
Summary of Plot: It was mentioned in the world reboot that there would be people going after metas who don't join up and still use their powers in a public manner. While Sleeper doesn't actually show the full breadth of their skills, they definitly are not keeping the basic shapeshifting completely under wraps, sometimes creating tendrils to help with lifting and carrying objects in cat for and otherwise never quite being a normal, if talking cat. I really want to volunteer them for what would hopefully be a failed attempt to induct them into one of the suicide squads or similar.
Being captured and forced to do things against their will is already a BIG thing for Sleeper from canon, so they will do their best to undermine anything trying to do that, but it would be awesome to help bring in some of the newer factions, even if they will probably end up the worse for wear.
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: Getting information about new players in the world out there, possibly getting characters who are on the fence about guilds to choose sides more strongly. Sleeper would definitely be going Society if they could be guaranteed protection and autonomy as far as what jobs they do. Also getting the Jasons to stop feuding for a bit would make everyone breathe a little easier.
Date and Duration: Best timing would be to have the IG dates be on or around the 21st of December for deathday tie-ins, but I am perfectly willing to adjust. Basically
OOC Goals: I just want to have something happen to the cat that will help put forward some of the less savory aspects of the MetaHeroes world and let their family and friends get to wreak a little havok getting them back.
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: I'd love to help with establishing one of the underground factions that aren't as neat or tidy as the guilds want to be...

We are very happy to help you facilitate this plot, but we require a little more information in order to do so.
Could you elaborate on what you mean with regard to the underground / newer factions and how you see them playing in?
We would also like some more details about how you would like Dylan and Jason to fit into this so we can tailor this plot to include them.

Guild Affiliations: Both are unaligned.
Summary of Plot: Baby Batdad Gets Lost. Bruce has the ability to manipulate and travel through shadows and with there being a Shadow Realm here, my idea was for him to accidentally get himself stuck there via moving through the shadows which I chalk up to the whole Bruce has never dealt with other realms or wielding powers before coming to Meta so Accidents Can Happen maybe. The general idea is for Bruce and Jason to be doing A Thing, Bruce accidentally gets lost during shadow travel, and Jason witnessing this, uses his detective brain, lets the others know, and goes through the shadows in search of him, landing himself in the Shadow Realm with Bruce.
Intended Outcome for Involved Characters: Jason shares the same power as Bruce and so he'd be the best choice for going in after him and helping him get out. Which, honestly, this is likely to be an unexpected father-son trip for the both of them getting temporarily stuck in the Shadow Realm and having to work together to get themselves out of it. Yay for bonding. If there are things or beings they might come across, have to deal with, or fight, they will do so and I'm open to whatever or whoever might be in there that they could come across and have to deal with or work around. In terms of them getting out of the Shadow Realm? I might need some assistance on that unless it's something like Bruce and Jason, by the end of this, are able to travel to and from the Shadow Realm. I'm open to suggestions and ideas for this! But they're definitely returning to Central City.
Date and Duration: I'm thinking end of this month or early February? I'm tentative on those times in case it would conflict with event stuff so please let me know if so, but! I'm thinking Bruce and Jason could be stuck in the Shadow Realm for a week-ish about. If time works differently in the Shadow Realm feel free to let me know how long they'd be in there/how much time would pass compared to being gone a week-ish in Central City, etc.
OOC Goals: Having Bruce and Jason work together more while maybe also learning about or developing their shared shadow manipulation powers more.
Impact on the Setting or Mod NPCs: I don't think it will really? That might be up to mods since I'm not sure what one finds in the Shadow Realm or if others are generally "welcome" there to begin with.

Escaping will be a challenge! They'll find that the demons from this realm want to keep them there. They will hunt them through the dark, and worse still, will try to follow them out into the light. It will require both learning how to master their ability. Let us know if you want more specific guidance on this, or a specific challenge that they have to meet in order to do so.
The end of January or early February should work just fine!
